article on recent CPB results points out that CPB is cashed up and looking for more acquistions having raised funds last year, so they have been on the lookout.
The longer things go the more in favour for CHL as the earnings increase will only be greater, and CPB has the cash so a higher offer is likely provided shareholders dont fall for the 31c bid [ of course you have spoken to all of them by now, so that would not happen LOL ]
As well, with the higher PE of CPB anything they will buy will be automatically valued at double - its like printing money!
