Either someone has some inside knowledge or they are very confident about the upcoming reporting beating expectations. They could be basing their spec on the recent performance of David Jones. However I remember that Perpetual loaded up big prior to last year's results and they got burnt pretty bad haha.
I read an article a while back that Myer sold 400,000 tins of that custom Nutella in Victoria alone. You could extrapolate that conservatively to 800,000 - 1,000,000 country wide and at $13/tin that's some solid turnover.
