I know that some of you guys, may not listen to Alan Jones but he's been talking about these multi-nationals and tax avoidance. The example he gave this morning was about Chevron, who borrows money at head office for 2% and lends it to the Australian operation at 9%, which gives a far lesser bottom line, on which it pays tax here. These are the things we must stamp out.
So, why don't Labor pass the legislation, to cut these schemes back? and make these multi's more accountable for the earnings here.
