i posted pre xmas that the word on the street was that 2 parties were wanting to "buy" a product made by unilife. it was common knowledge in the town of unilife but the market didn't react so I passed it off as just that a rumour.
then along comes amgen. 15 mill up front to stop anyone else from playing. now 2 extensions on and we r still no wiser.
perhaps AS is playing a little hard ball as he obviously knows who the other player is and what technology they are interested in.
if the 15 mill is none refundable then amgen is hanging in because they want it and perhaps the line was drawn in the sand and amgen have to meet AS conditions or walk
maybe amgen know that another player is in the wings and although nothing is on paper from them. if amgen walks then the other party just might win and amgen has lost the chance of sole rights to a product they wanted.perhaps they thought unilife is on the rocks lets steal it from them and now they have hit a brick wall
maybe we might be calling this all wrong and yes AS is in the box seat.he loses with amgen ,he folds and weakens to the other parties deal.

all IMO and I have a feeling this wont carry till the 26th

I think your on the money Patrolly!
Despite the Negative hysteria that Unilife is on its knees, being bent over, bankrupt, Amgen will totally dominate Unilifes weak position and get what they want etc etc etc, I have never believed that!
I have mentioned before as have many others, all of the positive's Unilife have but above all the VALUE is in their products, UF has screamed it loud and clear to all and sundry!
Therefore you have to come back to the fact that several parties were talking for sometime to Unilife and were obviously very keen, so Unilife did what they had to do, they had no alternative but to employ MS to value their total worth, then to announce it publicly (the SA), and to negotiate the best possible deal for themselves first and then therefore us SH'S!!
I believe its going to be a much better than expected outcome that will put a lot of the doomsday theorist's on the butt's!
