It appears these methods of extracting lithium from spodumene are becoming more common place and I am sure that General Mining and Galaxy Resources are considering such an option.
There is a possibility now that they will either export to a processing partner under the Mitsubishi agreement or cut out the middle man and cost of exporting larger weight for processing locally and replicate that technology to James Bay. It's just commonsense that they would do this to reduce costs thus increasing profits.
I wonder how many tonne per annum the alliance can produce from Mt Cattlin with that type of technology.
