My guess... Everything is going as normal as it should be with an acquisition like this, except the indicative timeline was way too ambitious and, if so, the directors probably would not want to announce that they misjudged the time it would take. Imo directors were probably satisfied with the acquisiton a long time ago and it's just documentation, red tape and processing in the way - all time consuming stuff to be done by various individuals who have responsibilities to make sure it's done right rather than listen to the company's calls to hurry up.
