Scientists rarely if ever talk in absolutes and always want more data. So a scientist will usually say something like, with the data available at this time the results are........
I believe Prof Wright is being true to the scientific method. The scientific method is beautiful, honest and can be very humbling because it allows for continual verification (either right or wrong) & updating as more evidence and data are discovered......unlike the dogma that blinds religious organisations.
