I think if Trump ends up as Republican nominee for president, it will be good news for the Democrats. Hilary Clinton can win against Trump, provided she sorts out this issue with the "emails". I like Sanders but he will be no match for Trump as the Republicans will be running this scare campaign of Sanders being a "socialist" or "communist" which he is not.
I don't believe a majority of Americans would want someone like Trump as their president. From what I had read, Trump has made quite a few racist remarks about Afro-Americans, the Mexican Americans, etc.
Historically Democrat voters turnout is lower than Republicans, but if Trump is the Republican candidate, that will galvanize the Democrat voters to turn up to vote, especially the Afro-Americans.
