The NCM class action settled at $36M "all in". Approval of the settlement is still required by the Federal Court which could still be 1-2 months off. If approved, then from this legals, disbursements, and any amounts due to a litigation funder (if funded) will first be required to be paid. Likely, the legals will come to $6-10M and disbursements to at least 1/2 that or more. Even so, the funding requirements on SGH are somewhere in the range of $16M - $20M per week, so the NCM resolution would address 2-3 days of funding requirements, only.
The legals on the Top Gear case (query) would not even cover a day's funding requirements.
When looking at resolved cases, one needs to look beyond the headline to see what the actual amount is that likely will go to the lawyers, etc.
