I am surprised no one is daring to say that even interim dividend can be maintained by SGH.
See if U were AG, then by Feb end u will know what money u got in for 8 months . U will also have a v v good idea re how much money UR going to get in coming 4 months and what is going to be the likely net profit. Considering that the cut to guidance is not going to be catastrophic and dividend pay out of SGH is pittance of net profit and not like 70-75 % of the net like most ozzie companies,it should be no big deal. That too if interim dividend is announced, it has to be paid at the end of April 2016.
If I was AG, I will go for the maintaining interim dividend side under that scenario. It will prove lot lot of things right re SGH, AG and UK business and its future.
I still don't think it is a far fetched dream unless SGH is and was a house of cards and all the numbers R cooked.
This is the best case scenario and I am not ruling it out.
AG should go for the kill straight to the jugular.
