My underlying fear was.. why would patients subject themselves through a clinical trial when there is already a cure out there. My suspicious is that candidates withdrew and they had no choice but to shut the trial down.

It may be the best thing for the company as they are forced down a different route. The Hep C was a major dead end, given that by the time we made it to market you could probably buy a pill from the chemist for 50 bucks, and not to mention heading down the Hep C path would only push the Hep B back another 5 years and increasing the risk that someone else trumps us.

So if you believe in the technology then we are on a better road now anyway...

From a share price perspective I see this as a bit of a reset.. yes I know, trying to find the positive...my average buy in looks a lot better now it was sitting at 99c a couple of months ago now I'm just over 20c with the same amount of shares.
If the sp halves now then I only loose 10% of what I've already lost.
A couple of years ago I bought 10000 shares at 2 bucks a piece now I can get 150,000 of them for the same price.. when you think about it what has changed from then til now, we have more money in the bank (I think), the technology has proven a level of safety hopefully management won't make the same mistake twice and speaking of management..surely someone has to go who's it going to be ???

Also interesting that they announced a future CR today. What was the rationale there.. its obvious we don't need one for a while I would think..was it, we are getting smashed now anyway, so lets minimize the damage or could there be another motive?
