It is positive as overall both are up net 3 million shares. Everything as to why is a guess.
My guess - as these options did not need to be exercised before 2017 - one reason to execute is to obtain greater voting power as they expect an important event to come up soon....
- maybe debt
- maybe corporate transaction eg. Takeover or new investor
- maybe what biscuts are served in the tea room.
If they had a net loss of shares I would take that as a negative and lack of confidence in the short term.
