This is the real problem,imo.During the Mining Boom Australia experienced a huge income increase.That income is now falling.The question is,'can our lifestyle be supported on a lower income?'A good model for a country that suffered a drop in income is Venezuela ...it has happened there a couple of times and the consequences have not been pretty.
Sure Australia has a pleasant climate etc,but I wonder how happy we would all be if our private incomes dropped by 20%?
