Firstly, Pell is not on trial, he's assisting the Royal Commission - as for his apparent lack of memory on the topic - YES, how's your memory for exact details, of who said what, to whom and when - from the 1970's?  Obviously the "single issue obsessives" attacking Pell, never took the time to read just what the questioning would be based on.

Secondly - and way more importantly, when will the Royal Commission, in to the likely MUCH bigger issue of child abuse, in the wider secular community begin?

Finally - let the cards fall as they may, if people in community based groups, including religious bodies have failed, so be it - likely that would NOT actually include George Pell however [but that's for the Royal Commission to form an opinion on] - but every bit of hard data, from around the world suggests, there are much - MUCH - bigger fish to fry on this front, out in the wider community!
