I suspect they already have - and, I suspect they are rolling on the floor laughing at the prices they have paid over the last few days
I could be wrong - and, I don't have the data - but, didn't I see where someone said that BY were still sellers and Comsec were the main buyers?
If that is the case - then, it would be my suspicion that the BY stock is going to O's - and, more than likely America.
I have a very annoying feeling that all this BY stuff could have been done differently - with perhaps one or more off market transfers done months back at much higher prices to some American clients --------- I have a feeling that there is some poo on the liver issues going on here.
If I am correct - then, what the results of that really are is that BY clients have sold down for less than what could have been possible and American interests have acquired some stakes at far cheaper prices than would have been, if a deal or 3 had been cut -------------- and, the rest of us have had the wonderful time of seeing the graph head south like running off the bitumen onto the potholes on the verge - all whilst the business is as solid as a rock.
Doesn't concern me as far as staying the course - but, I do have a love for zeros - I just like to see more and more of them in my position column - pretty little things really.
If Bob Brookins wasn't such a valuable asset in a white coat locked in a lab - I would be asking Nick for a loan of him - him and me - 2 things to clean up ------------ BY for one, then go and collect the money owing -- I reckon we would make a formidable team - one look at us coming up the driveway, and they would pay up pronto - ditto BY - cut a deal, or else
