re: i am new to the sharemarket My view is always large-scale and long-term.
No point f*arting around with $100 CAZ daytrades.
Best to go for multiple $100K profits in 10 years.
Better percentages.
In the case of RIN i decided to draw the line at $12.56 and go after it.
I make my own rules and stick with them.
RIN is near enough a prospective PE of 10.
I am happy to pay any price below that.
All that matters long-term is how RIN perform as a business going forward. If i get a chance to buy at $10, thats OK too.
I first bought BHP for $3.00 in 1989. It been a good investment (dividends, bonus shares, FGL, OST, BSL spin-offs, you name it). Would it have mattered whether i'd paid $2.50 or $3.50 back then instead ?
As a bonus for reading my post, CCL hit 12 month lows today. I started going after that today also. A much better business in the past 3-4 years than the market gives it credit for.
