Atlas is on a declining production profile from here on without another mine, and the more they sell at a loss now the less they have to make money if sales price gets higher than their all-in costs.

As for the US - how much iron ore does the US import, and how much steel does it import ? I thought they were both under embargo and have been for a couple of decades.

most Cars are made in Japan China and EU now ...

USA ...imports Steel Cars...Trucks ..Bikes ..Big Machinery...Tools ..White goods ..etc etc..

IO prices are set by foreign Futures markets ..that see Demand increases coming .
and
the Big 3 producers...currently struggling to Justify to their shareholders ..
Why an IO price under $60 ...is strategic ??
when THEY all Made a Ton of PROFIT ....at $150 ton .. only 15 months ago
