If the Deal was off the Odin would be required to report to the market immediately or risk very significant consequences in subsequent investigation. The longer this drags on the more sure I am of the Deal happening - but also the more concerned I become of how favorable the content will be for us.
However, you might be right that Mike played hardball and the negotiations have dragged on till now (i.e Sales agreement now a billion shares or more, instead of whatever original amount was). Alex is not dumb enough to walk away from this, no matter how bad the terms are - He knows it's his absolute last shot - If it falls through no one in their right mind will even touch anything with his name on it ever again.
