Agreed, any BOD as a whole have to shoulder responsibility for the corporate actions a company takes.
So at what point do you recognise that BB has 'form'! and should be credited with it ?
As Managing director of Sprint Energy he is responsible (as you have pointed out ) for the corporate decisions that drove it into administration in 2012
As CEO of TON for 99.9% of its life cycle up to ... and down from, that 70 second trading blip @ 90.5¢ to his exit 10 minutes before the VA was called for .... so as head honcho he MUST! shoulder the majority of the responsibility for that.
Now as for the pump in share price back then ...
If Ton were operating next door to MNS or KNL .. were sitting on the same resource, BB used the same BS and implemented the same corporate actions that he did back then .. TON would not have made a third of the gains it did.
The fact it was sitting right next door to a company alredy going gangbusters (Disallowed+) when the Glencore rumour hit driving it even further, had every man and his dog going ballistic, expecting the same result as the neighbour and BB went along for the ride.
That is the narrative! ............... IT! ... drove the share price and was not written or even instigated by BB in any way, shape or form ....
It was simply bestowed on TON by an over excited Hyped up market of predominantly retailers and all BB did was just to stand back ... feed a bit a BS to the fire every now and then ... and BINGO ... 70 odd full seconds of trading @ 90.5¢
After that it became a constant battle for the rest of his tenure trying to convince all and sundry that his BS was not BS and he, not just a spin Dr
I would call that more an indictment on his character and abilities than praiseworthy IMO
In fact .... Id say BB failed miserably for not being able to take FULL! advantage of such a 'gift' situation during that time. He failed to garner longterm Institutional interest in the stock, failed at getting finance & off takes, failed to organise an 80,70, or even 60¢ CR during that blood rush but most importantly ....failed to gain any TRUST! from industry leaders
Don't get me wrong I enjoyed 2014 early 15 ..... TON was by far my best earner for that year but at no time did the thought enter my head that its CEO had anything to do with it In fact I was on HC sounding warning bells of his misgivings .... he just happened to be in the right place right time and the Long Term prospects of TON have paid the price for HIS LUCK ever since
BB has a bit of experience in companies falling in to administration with his time at Sprint Energy ... he came close to learning a bit more with TON but lucked out again by a few weeks ... (his signature won't appear on any of the VA docs) ............
Hmmmmmm .... .maybe he could have given Higgo some pointers
PS: Any Kudos to BB would be like giving kudos to the BODs and CEO's of the Rare Earth darlings back in the day of their pump&dump .. lets just ignore the size of the graveyard those guys left behind
