is there a chance the drilling company quoted the whole area to be drilled, for X amount plus weather days etc.
it was agreed they would be paid monthly intallments etc? Ton fell behind in the payments so drilling stopped, however depending on how the contract was written the whole X amount would still be owed?? Perhaps ton now doesnt even want to drill that area nor do they have the funds to pay out the contract??
Drilling coy are now asking for remainder of contract to be paid etc, they just hand it to the lawyers???
Just a thought?
I work offshore oil and gas and apparently every contract ends in the courts with lawyers fighting the intricacies out of the contract??
