He gave an indicative timetable and then amended that timetable.
Realistically, how can he PROMISE that something in the hands of OTHER people (lawyers) will or won't happen by (insert exact time) ? Indicative timetables are just that.... an indication. I wish for all our collective sanities it were different but that's just how it is.
Edit : On the other hand I do agree with the idea of a trading halt.... no problem at all.
