QTK will NOT be retailers of this product as you know the product is more designed for its Beijing project.
That being said,QTK are in negotiations with interested parties in Australia to be partners in selling and or distributing the product.
I think as a matter of logic......the QTK monitoring fee will NOT be above industry average as the security market in Australia is very competitive....furthemore the product is built around its transponder modem which is being built in China.
as a guide.......a 8 sector control panel with two sensors, battery, strobe, siren costs around $190 wholesale and the same system retails for anywhere from $600/$700 up plus installation. This is a hardwired system.
it is again reasonable to assume the QTK product would have to cost a little more as it is a true wireless system (taht is wireless keypad and sensors)
so i would guess somewhere around $250 to $300 wholesale
whilst there will be a cost differential the upside to the QTK system is it is installed easily and will aloow self installation, where the hardwire system basically requires an electrican or alarm installer.
But more importantly i personally do not see QTK gaining a major market share with it unless they could negotaite something with say IAG etc to sell and or endorse the product.
as i have pointed out,it is simply another method in using underused bandwidth on the Australian network and is preparing it more for the Beijing market where penetration will be enormous.
hope this helps you.
