Insurance companies do generally require monitoring of business premises, however, this monitoring can be directly to a mobile phone held by a staff member or manager, etc. It does not have to be a "professional" monitoring company. My businesses' alarms all are personally monitored and our insurance company gives me a discount for this, which is no greater or less than getting the alarms externally monitored.
