"If your explaining your losing" -- old political saying.
Monday morning PR releases don't fly well a PR guy always told me.
With that said the SP is in the toilet even with the AMGEN deal. If I was doing PR (IR) with a company that has lost credibility with investors I would tell them to get the house in order and let the "well of credibility" replenish before doing a "public event".
Clear out the old management, realign the company, sweep out the dust, and then appoint the new Orbimed guy errr I mean CEO. Give the new CEO 30 days on the job to "review" the plan already set before doing a public event. With the new team in place present a clear and concise plan going forward. Set achievable goals and then meet or surpass them (regardless how low the bar is set). If there is visibility going forward the SP will be rewarded.
I don't really care if the new CEO is a Orbimed Yes man as long as his is full response is "Yes we can ship more product".
Again, IMO, this is just another phase of UNS's life cycle. From the business realignment mentioned in the PR there are now only two business units WI's and PFS's. R&D looks to be incorporated into each of the two units to support ongoing customer programs.
