I have posted the other view Avi in David Housenechts, a well respected Alaskan(?) Geo, has stated before that he was worried re the clay elasticity and brittleness of the HRZ and its potential to give the flow of hydrocarbons major issues.

THIS has always been THE major achilles heel of this project and will take the most analysis to get these pre Ice 2 observations as close to the mark as possible.

We know the smectite,(swelling clay type) is apparently low enough in % not to be an issue, espc in combination with the high porosity/permeability. BUT THIS will need to be confirmed by You know what .

Other stuff is the stress regime of such a porous/permeable shale. Will it stand up to the fracking/horizontal drilling?

My best guess atm can only be guided by the fact they had no issues in extracting a good core sample which suggests if it didnt fall to pieces that the shale has good structure.

ANY Geo's out there wish to comment ?
