Metrics of the deal could cap any potential spike in the short term. You would hope that the announcement would simply be "Share sale agreement executed". Sell on the spike and wait for the metrics, I would not want to hold a sizable amount with the Overhanging CR, C/Note shares and possible consolidation when and if that announcement comes.
Unfortunately most spec stocks are sold down on any mention of a CR.
