BUD have their head office in Seattle and that will not change. The Adelaide office is their "engineering office." It is in King William Street in the city. The website is US based run from the Seattle office. The reason Adelaide as a location was because of an investment from the South Australian Investment Attraction agency (State Government agency). Basically some subsidies to help them settle an office there, and help them with business opportunities. Very similar to the Choose Washington initiative that Buddy and Syntonic are both part of. Silicon Valley is where all the action is, in terms of investment in IoT, which is why they are excited to remain there. The Australian office gives them extended timezone working hours (16 hour days between offices), and a launching pad into the Asia Pacific region.

Now, it appears that Dave McLauchlan, Buddy CEO is very much connected to the ASX in advising US businesses who are interested in listing here. He was part of an ASX event 2 weeks ago for businesses interested in listing on the ASX, and yesterday, he hosted an event for Jay Weatherill, SA Premier, to meet Silicon Valley businesses interested in opening an office in Australia. There was a writeup in the local Seattle Business Paper about how Buddy was one of the first Silicon Valley firms to do a reverse listing and that others should look into it.

Dave and Gary Greenbaum, Syntonic CEO are good mates. They overlapped at Microsoft for 12 years, and have attended MWC together as part of Choose Washington the last 2 years.
The investor presentations are very, very similar between what BUD and PSF/Syntonic have put out. It appears very much so that Dave has had some influence on Syntonic as it looks like Syntonic is following the Buddy ASX listing playbook very closely.

Syntonic would therefore keep their website run from head office as a global site. Until the PSF acquisition was confirmed they could not open an office here. It will be interesting to see which State snags them. I would not be surprised to see them also choose Adelaide.
