Topped up today after some great news flow over the last couple of months. A lot less risk (still considerable don't get me wrong) now as there was when I pressed go back then and no SP appreciation so was an easy decision.

The company I work for uses Cornerstone for health and safety training (quizzes etc). We are engineering consultants so it's a big part of our business. The quizzes are well put together. Im not sure how this is done- whether it's in house or by cornerstone, but it's tailored to us it seems. Anyway that all works ok. However, the tracking of what modules you've completed and when they expire is very difficult. For the last two years I've been the unfortunate fellow who has had to try and make sense of it all and tell the old (stuck in their ways) guys how's it's done . Its not my job, but it's my extra task for our section of about 60 people to make sure everything is up to date. It's been a nightmare. The flash new cornerstone system should be easy but it just isn't. And at the end of the day I still find it difficult to tell when someone has completed their modules. The only easy way to do this is to download all the information to a spreadsheet and filter it to see who's have expired.

To exemplify this, when we first used the system, there was two buttons you could press: "launch" or "request". If you pressed "launch" it would not record that you had completed the quiz, so word of mouth was needed so that everyone knew to press "request"! This took 6 months or more to fix.... Arghhh

Anyway, that's just my experience with a competitor. Interested to hear if anyone else's thoughts on cornerstone are the same as mine. Would love to have first hand experience of velpic because I could easily compare the two
