Hi redal I concur, this is a large discovery and there is no particular reason I can think of for COP leaving Senegal but new exploration is another thing , which I find encouraging as FAR needs more exploration ( with the exception of Sirius) like a hole in the head...the best result for all partners IMO is get on with SNE and why not the burried hills prospect will be known about shortly and the look a likes are looking likely to be an extension of SNE we don't need anymore...

Now I don't know who instigated the brilliant 2 for 1 exploration / appraisal well but I do know FAR prefered Soliel, can't have been those shifty CNE lot surely....

Since the JV submitted the 3 year evaluation plan three major events have happened or continued ,first the price of oil continued to fall ,second SNE has continued to prove to be bigger and better than expected and third the cost of drilling has continued to fall, I am hoping the evaluation plan will be altered considerably...
