If you are skilled in C#, then you would be better of coding up your own scanner from a third party API.

DDE or parsing from spreadsheets is slow and inefficient.

The API I use has no documentation, so you would need to know how to access the interface through the type library.

Though I think Spark offer an API with full documentation.

Not sure what framework they use.
