Good to hear you've done well with TPG. I did short sell (and post) re TPG several months ago when SP leapt and took my profits not too long afterwards. I have time so i simply watch and wait until SP rises or falls above/below (what i consider) to be fair value. Sometimes i get it right, sometimes wrong. As I explained in my earlier post i feel TPG at 10.93 and esp at say 11.23 is overpriced. its simply my opinion. No different from someone posting they feel TPG is underpriced and time to buy.

Re the macro. I keep seeing ads for cheaper deals from telcos. On my desk somewhere i have a pamphlet from Optus (thrust into my hand in a shopping centre) which includes 'free unlimited overseas calls from my landline'!! My current deal with Telstra makes overseas calls hellish expensive, so i buy a card from newsagent and use that at a fraction of TLS price. I can't see competition between telcos weakening anytime soon.
