I also believe the filming of the movie was delayed by something like 2 years because Spielberg kept having the script rewritten until he was happy with it. So it would appear he was certainly being very deliberate in portray certain messages
No doubt the facts in the movie were altered and changed for entertainment value and many of the personal traites of the characters where complete fantasy.
But the messages behind the story do have a fair bit of factual basis to support them and yes it could be argued that it is only an interpretation of someone isoluted from the real world in Hollywood albeit a jewish person.
But it would also appear that most of those that are argueing that point are blinded by their own religious beliefs that if not extremist certainly boarder on it and narrow minded hatred. The type of people who rightly so condemn murderous acts commited by one side but make pathetic attempts at justifying murderous acts commited by the other side
So if it is all the dsame to you I think I will continue to not put much wieght into arguements mounted by people who fit into the above discription.
