SJ, I commend you for being so frank as you have committed Apostasy. It seems the religion is quite violent in its punishment, a lot of "crimes" are punishable by death from Adultery to Apostasy. The funny thing is it doesn't apply to the Men! Adulterer? They can have 4 wives, kill an infidel, go to heaven and how many virgins waiting? I hope Allah is dishing viagra up there Bcoz that tool can't keep standing up that many times!

I am aware of the current marriage arrangement in that part of the world intimately. You lose your first name, surname, eating habits, attire completely. Beer, forget it! Stigmatised by your non-muslim friends. At least you know you have 3 more options at marriage!

Just goes to show how man has completely broken down the bridges of the 3 major religion with Judaism the founding blocks of the religious dogma. It morph to Christianity then Islam. Christians went through this upheavel, the Spanish Inquisitions and from the violence evolved into a more tolerable religion that stood the test of time. It is unfortunately the turn of Islam to go through the same process. However this time we have a few headless chooks running the show each with their own brand and interpretation. Various version of Sunni Islam from the moderate to ultra fundamentalist and anything in between. Then we have Shite (is that how it is spelt LOL) and their fire brand. This is like UK govt and IRA without the politics, just purely religious debate in a "robust" way haha.

Where do the moderates stand? Drowned out by the constant terrorist attack all in the name of Allah. The sad thing is those islamic quotes used to justify killing infidels are actually found verbatim in the Koran. There are no buts or if but direct quotes that inspire religious righteous actions. The constant annoyance by a lot of peripheral moderate Muslims complaining that the tags of islamist or Muslim terrorist are not doing them justice but these scum bags found religious justifications to do what they do. Now if I were a muslim, I would have to choose between Allah, stand stigmatised or leave the religion passively if I wish to live in modern Western societies. The faith and Western society are not compatible regardless of how islamic religious scholar tries to paper over the the 2 model of living one's life.

The funny thing is where if you ask a muslim refugee is their preference to relocate if they were given a choice? Western countries of course? There are plenty of much wealthier islamic countries but no one put that at the top of their choice. Why? Why spent all that effort risking life and limbs fleeing to a society that is completely incompatible with their religious upbringing? Do you see an Ozzie wanting desperately to emigrate to Saudi or ME besides professional career advancement?

This terrorist campaign will last my life time and probably will keep festering on for decades! The rise of the far right will one day be the norm as societies look inward and citizens will start pledging allegiances to movements rather than the country. The far left will keep sprouting bleeding heart democracy battling for the extremely prejudiced minority because that will be their sole political power base. Hmm. my dark imagination is running wild over Easter. Maybe that is what I have written before going in to confession!
