Options are meant to be an incentive for directors to increase value for all shareholders. Lately it seems directors are requesting low priced options as a way of lining their pockets.
I don't mind giving them options in the 25-30 cent range expiring in 2 years as our expectation is a higher price or takeover but they are more likely to request them at 12 cents.
