My First two cents on this.

    The Watch product.

They need to drop this and focus on other products.

Apple have their watch and has WAAAAAAy more features....

They dont have a camera in it but I will assure you they will CRUSH IOT in months if they get sniff people want cameras in their watches and I hate to say who doesn't? I want one now!

But for $99 its a gimmick item thats going to test the market. For $300 I'd rather spend that on an Apple watch and have my integration with apps on my phone.

    Now the Selfie....

Its cool they are not the only company doing this right now there are lots of others and some are even bigger companies already marketing and advertising their products in this space heavily.

This being said, it's going to get bigger for extreme sports and long endurance events where we will be able to have each contestant on a field or track have their own LIVE HD camera recording every second of their event.

So this is a growing market and if they can get in and take a good share of the market its perfect.

Home Automation... Trillion Dollar Industry Untapped....

This is an industry completely untouched by tech heads and cloud software.

Here in Australia we have lots of companies that are using older systems doing just this with in house servers and CBUS systems which are just ridiculously overprices and impossible to program and maintain or add on for the everyday DIY'er.

    BEHOLD! - BELKIN

Im in love with some of the wicked ideas Belkin have created, here at Bunnings (hardware store) we can buy lights that run off blue tooth and we can do what ever we want with a switch.

The down side to this is that I have down lights and can't use it :(

The biggest thing in Home Automation is Long Distance Changes.

No one cares about changing turning a light on while their on the couch or anything else for that matter.

It's more about getting people to be able to turn things on and off or WATCH things from a another location IE: Work, Holidays or Events.

The best yet is opening and closing a doggy door or back door. (I own dogs and they live inside, but we are forever adjusting our plans and annoying our parents to walk around and let them out here and there.)

If I am going to invest in IOT it'll be for the Selfie Camera Drone and Home Automation (if they have the right view moving forward)

Hopefully my two cents makes some CENTS.... lol <- see what i did there.

I work in construction and renovations so real estate and making your home a lovely place is what we do.
