In their latest broker presentation,(8/5/06)... CBH actually use a 2007 production figure of 160,000 tonnes zinc in concentrate. Their previous record quarterly production was 34,500 tonnes - or under 140,000 tonnes PA.

Therefore total ore produced would need to be about 1.4 mtpa - containing 160,000 t - recoverable about 85,000 t of which they would produce about 83% zinc metal (or payable zinc)-which is 70,000 tons.

All my calculations previously (of about 58,000 t zinc metal)were based on historic production levels. That link from their web, together with their forecast in the recent broker presentation and Hartleys comment- certainly gives a strong indication of a likely 1.4 mtpa ramp up. (and bigger profits than numerious calculation I have previously made)
