technically AMC is reaching major resistance in the 1470/95 region...over the past 12 months it has tried to break through here over 10 times and failed, with pullbacks ranging from 5-15%
fundamentally, EPS growth is flat to negative which means divs will follow suit. the entire world (even asian countries) is cracking down on cigarettes, while more and more people are going for organic produce (have you visited a farmers markets on any given weekend???)
implied volatility is at 12 month lows so there's some cheap limited risk/high reward option strategies out there if in fact AMC were to repeat previous pullbacks from current levels.
i'm married to a wonderful woman, so i don't need to get married to any stock! i feel the risk is to the downside unless it can make a meaningful break above 1500 to all time highs...with the fundamentals behind it, i think it will struggle
am using today's strength and low implied volatility to enter bearish option strategies
if you're long, you can buy some cheap out of the money puts to hedge a potential if not likely pullback.
