The Escondida strike is symptomatic of the hard times ahead for all miners including OXR. What we have going forward is escalating labour costs in a period where world demand is slowing and supply will be increasing (Cu in particular) eg Prominent Hill. This imo spells trouble in the short term (6-12 months) for miners.
The Escondida issue will be resolved and when it does Cu prices will be coming down.
