    I don't agree. The cash economy that you describe are people just making a living not to buy super yachts. Somebody makes a few hundred $$$s - that cash that gets circulated within the community, shoes for the kids etc. On the other hand the missed tax you are talking about would be funnelled off to Canberra and by the time all the bureaucrats have had their snouts in the trough only a small percentage would find its way back to the community.

    The big picture in my view is the millions been squirrelled away offshore and multinationals using various devices to pay no or little tax. Lets focus on them before we hit mums and dads up for more tax.
