Slips, I'm no admirer of Bill Shorten or union leaders in general and have indicated previously that I think ALP MPs erred in overturning the preference rank and file members expressed for Anthony Albanese. IMO the ALP must act to reflect the decline in union membership and the increasing concern people have about sustainable futures.
Of course, there is more to the ALP than Shorten!
IMO we're seeing this with election policies including tackling corporate tax avoidance more aggressively and more effectively, arresting profligate waste on superannuation for the uber-wealthy, reigning in concessions for negative gearing / CGT on new properties, reversing Tony Abbott's decision re FBT concessions, removing that hideous DAP, ....
Nor do I shy away from my view that Tony Abbott's government was the worst in our history and the Malcolm Turnbull's chance to reverse that appears to be slipping away due to internal sniping, undermining and wrecking.
