Having said that, rust might also a matter of fish in some circumstances I expect. Perhaps Nick could let us have his views?

I want to emphasise the seriousness of the situation here, but I can't work out when the corporate advisory firm was actually appointed. Many seem to think they are just the latest in a long list of advisers crawling all over the company looking for answers, which would give the impression the directors might have decided to go to Fiji or somewhere like that for a few weeks and just leave it to these expensive people to come up with a few solutions.

The seriousness (or otherwise) of the situation be revealed soon enough (it will already have been to those with live feeds - not the animal variety btw) because the share price says all that counts to a lot - eg how many people are being frightened into selling after larger than usual lumps of borrowed (or owned in the case UBS) shares are dumped into a market that doesn't want them because there's too much uncertainty.

I believe the directors are right to be maintaining absolutely silence about anything and everything. So would I be if I knew that whatever I said would instantly be presented in a way that wasn't intended and wasn't right by a whole pile of organisations and people who for some reason want to see this company fail completely.

It's likely that when news comes it will be definitive, one way or the other. There shouldn't be long to wait.

I have confirmation GS has been working with SGH since Dec15. I can't get 100% definitive answer if they're still advising Slater and Gordon.
Bryce Houghton appears to have made the call for GS to consult on their debt structuring and advisory.
