You are right about one thing - I love words, and writing. But posting on HC to protect my investment is to accuse me of duplicitous motive and behavior. Misguided enthusiasm for Unilife over a decade and a half of my life, perhaps. Belief in the company, its products and management, definitely.
Was I alone in this? Cast your eye over the institutional holdings.
Were the powers that be at JP Morgan, or Blackrock, reading Writer's post on HC and thinking, man, he's connected, everything he says must be true, better get on board while we can? No. They did their own due diligence, as only they know how, bought up large then proceeded to bring the company to its knees by loaning out their stock to the likes of Kerrisdale et al.
If you read my more recent posts you will know that investing in Unilife and going long, never trading it and taking profits when the opportunity presented itself, has been the worst financial decision of my life. If I could change that outcome for myself, and all retail Unilife shareholders, I would. Unfortunately I cannot. All I can do is learn, and hopefully move forward and recover my losses, though how at the moment I do not know.
The other thing I have learned is to take cover when the pack on HC turns on you. That isn't to insinuate a lack of moral fibre on my part. It is simply an unfortunate truth. The reality is, I have nothing of value to add to the discussion. I am sure you would not be alone in saying I never did. So be it.
But just so you know, I never posted anything I didn't believe to be true, and certainly never with any intent to enrich myself at the cost of others. For you to suggest otherwise is malicious in the extreme, and unworthy even of you. I have enough crap in my life without you or anyone else blaming me for their woes. I don't expect any sympathy, or want it. I am sorry for everybody who has suffered, but there is nothing I can do about that now. I can only hope that everyone here is somehow able to recover something from this mess. For me, it is too late.
