He is a bloody wimp. Pre selections around Australia seem to be all going a similar way. Religious conservatives have won pre selection in some WA seats though. I do not think it will be long before a revamped conservative party is formed to combat the "moderate left". I am heartened though by a rise in the younger blue collar workers who are showing a right wing conservative attitude toward our wishy washy politicians. For this country to avoid PIG status we must curtail middle class welfare, government waste, drop the NDIS and Gonski as we can not afford either at this stage, along with the PPL scheme, even though our public servants rort and double dip the same scheme. The alternative is a Labour / Green government, with unfettered immigration, Aboriginal rights that will go far and beyond the realms of fairness and rational and an insurmountable debt at the end of it. Back to the thread, BB was a disgrace to her conservative values that she so enspoused during her stint of heading a senate inquiry into government expenditure during the Hawke Keating era, shown to be an aging hypocrite she should have retired and had mentored a younger conservative to replace her.
