Qantas has a huge amount of their longhaul business concentrated in just two destinations, namely London Heathrow and Los Angeles. Most of their eggs are in just two baskets. This vulnerability has manifested itself twice in the last twelve months, with the Heathrow security scare and, before that, the Hemel Hempstead refinery explosion, itself an expensive exercise requiring southbound flights to be routed via Stansted Airport for fuel. With this structure it's possible for an incident at either airport to temporarily suspend 40% of their long haul operations.
And don't get me started about Airbus lol
