Won't go on forever but it's been good for a couple of mill for me over the last few years. Brisbane is forecast to continue rising as well, it's a shame you don't own any.

Got some exposure to the Dow? Looks like it's broken out, technically the target is 20,000. 6% dy on CBA's not bad, + any capital gain. CBA has soundly thrashed gold over the last 7 years (excluding divs).

If the gold standard was still in place, gold would need to be worth 85 thousand an ounce to cover US debt of over 19 trillion dollars.
It a bit like a farmer having a 10 million dollar debt with only 100 cows as collateral. The cows would need to worth 100 thousand each.
