Many orders are only placed starting at 10am.
So the last 8 mins of pre-open may give us an idea of what might happen.
The T+2 traders will be out in force today looking to lock in profits.

But as previously stated, the pre-open can have absolutely no bearing on what happens today.

What's important is where it closes at the end of the day and the trading opportunities that present themselves throughout the day.
