Whereu, above all Jehovah is worthy of our honour.
(Revelation 4:11) “You are worthy, Jehovah our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they came into existence and were created.”
Jesus Christ set the perfect example in honouring his Father, carrying out His will flawlessly to the point of laying down his life in sacrifice. (Matthew 26:39).
After the completion of Jesus’ earthly course, God conferred far greater honour and dignity upon his Son than Jesus had before his becoming a man.
(Philippians 2:9-11) For this very reason, God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name,  so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend—of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground— and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
Since it was Jehovah God who highly exalted his Son, all who refuse to acknowledge Jesus Christ as the immortal King of kings and Lord of lords dishonour the Father.
Whereas Jehovah God and his Son merit the greatest honour, there are relationships among humans that also call for honour. Children are to honour their parents by being obedient. ( Ephesians 6:1, 2)
The apostle Paul counselled: “In showing honor to one another take the lead.” (Romans 12:10)
This helps us to see the graduated arrangement that God's Word directs.

What I would regard as polytheism is what Paul encountered in his preaching tours.
(Acts 17:22) Paul now stood in the midst of the Ar·e·opʹa·gus and said: “Men of Athens, I see that in all things you seem to be more given to the fear of the deities than others are.
Rome too readily embraced most religions. Genuine Christianity was the exception. Paul was told:
(Acts 28:22) But we think it proper to hear from you what your thoughts are, for truly as regards this sect, we know that it is spoken against everywhere.”
Here is a question for you. What is it about genuine Christianity that would make unacceptable to the majority?
