BB, I've thought more than once that a dash-cam setup would be handy to record these instances....
Consider this: You're doing 80 on the Roe Highway and as you approach the lights, they go amber....a glance in your mirror shows the grill of a laden B-Double prime mover about a metre behind the rear window of your wagon. Would a sane person ram his brakes on? Not a good idea, so you go through the amber and a bit of red....not much else you can do...
