KOH, you appear to not understand what the product of the Hazer process consists of. Very fine-grained graphite is produced on the surface of iron ore particles (iron oxide), which must be removed, probably chemically, before such a material could be considered for use in spherical graphite (and that would assume appropriate flake size, but that's another story). Some background reading would be in order, mate.
With Balama ore, simple flotation can improve graphite concentrate to the point where proven, low-cost chemical treatment produces battery-grade graphite.
Tough, but your entire post is based on a false premise. You are not even comparing apples and oranges - the two cases are so far apart that this is more like grapes and watermelons.
