I was at the AGM, I did see our. Ex Chairman with a fair bit of contempt for the only questioner, as much as that questioner was quite angry and put him on the spot, but hey with the questioner buying in at $12 and the sp at the time around the $1 mark its no wonder why..
I also remember the vote already carrying, for all questions put, including pay for senior management, but only passing by 60%, and Nic greiner saying that the fact the percentage wasn't higher was a protest vote on management and the sp dropping like a stone..
Remember also that from $6 to $1 there were 2 takeover offers (that we know about) and one 1 redemable preference offer, and the board could not or didn't want to seal the deal on any of them. Then the sp dropped to the 37c mark and people were understandably frazzled with management.
I thought that greiner jumped from a sinking ship, and that's why he left, I didn't realise he was walking the plank??
Am happy to see that all is coming back and if we make it back into the s&p fund managers may come back also, the catalyst would send the sp higher and snow ball.
It's good to dream anyway,
